25 Years of Sigma Kappa Nu

Dear Brothers of Sigma Kappa Nu,

Greetings! We hope this letter finds
you in good health. After a long break for
spring break and Easter weekend, the actives are
ready for a busy month. The spring has always
brought a large group of alumni to the Erie
area. As we celebrate another year of
fraternity, we hope for nothing different.

In efforts to “pregame” for the
anniversary month, SKN will be holding our annual
formal dinner and dance. For our second year, we
will be holding this dinner at the Presque Isle
Country Inn, Sterrettania Rd, Erie, PA. Brothers
will arrive by 4 PM. Dinner is served at 8:30
PM. Any brothers of Sigma Kappa Nu are welcome
to join us after dinner as we announce the
2008-2009 Officers. Let us know if you have an
interest in coming. It would be great to see
alumni at our formal. But this is only the beginning….

Sigma Kappa Nu will kick off the
month of April with our 25th Anniversary
Party. It starts on Friday, April 4th 2008 at
6:00 PM. The meal will include hamburgers,
hotdogs and other dinner dishes brought by the
actives. Drinks will be provided at dinner. We
will even have our own wait staff. All of this
is for just five dollars a person! Please do
whatever you can to make it to the dinner. We
can seat as many people as we need and we would love to see all of you.

After dinner the officers will be
talking to everyone about the present history and
the bright future of the fraternity. This will
be an opportune time to talk about great times
from the past. President Daniel Frankel will
give a toast to Sigma Kappa Nu, its founding
fathers, its alumni and its actives. We will
close with the largest chant in the fraternity's twenty five years.

Tradition continues the next day as
we hold our third annual DX v. SKN football
game. For the twenty-third year, Sigma Kappa Nu
is hosting a football game with another
fraternity. SKN has played Tau Kappa Epsilon and
Kappa Delta Rho in the past. SKN is 15-5-2
overall. We will play our anniversary game at
its new location in North East, PA. The field is
at 40 N Lake St, North East, Erie, Pennsylvania
16428. Kickoff is set for 12:30 PM. Reffing the
game will be Jimmy Z and Amor from the Pub. The
teams will arrive at 11:30 AM to set up the field
and warm up. We invite all alumni, friends and
families to this event as well! There will be
drinks and some food available at the game. Feel free to bring anything!

Post-Game festivities will be at the
Pub. Plenty of drinks will be had. We will
enjoy pub food and celebrate the quarter century
the best way we know. Our weekly Saturday party
will start at 8:00 PM that night. Brothers are
encouraged to come back to the SKN Compound to
celebrate for the rest of the evening.

On April 23, 2008 we will hold our
weekly meeting on this Wednesday. We invite any
brother willing and able to make the trip to Erie
on the day of our 25th anniversary. This will be
a great way to formally celebrate. That evening
SKNs will be having an open party. The brothers
will be bringing food and alcohol for all.

The wedding of Stephen Hornyak to
Colleen Russman will be held in Erie on April
26th. The ceremony is going to be held at Faith
Lutheran Church. Steve-o invites all of you up
to Erie to hang out in the days before the
wedding. There will be lots to do as Erie moves
into its warmer season. State Street always has
lots of specials Wednesday through Friday.

If you have any questions about the
weekend please get a hold of Glenn or Dan at any
time. We are more than willing to help you find
a place to stay or to just give you directions to
our new place! The actives look forward to
seeing you all these coming weekends. Travel safely and take care.

Sincerely,

Daniel Frankel
